What is the effective lens factor that I use for Photo Vista Lens File?

The Nikon 990 lens says 8mm - 24mm or 35mm Equivalent is 38-115mm.   Fisheye FC-E8 lens adapter that states it is an x0.21 Magnification.

38mm x .21 would = 7.98mm or 8mm

115mm x .21 = 24.15mm or 24mm.

Then look for 8mm or 24mm Photo Vista lens file to stitch your images.

The above tip provided by Rodrigo in the UK

The wider the lens [smaller the lens focal length (fl) value] means that you are able to capture more view.  Fisheye 1 is 8mm fl full 180° circular view.. so you would capture ALL from the tripod center point.  Fisheye 2 is equal to about 16mm fl so the view is truncated so the NON view area is up to 3 feet in front of the tripod.  Using a 24mm lens fl you won't capture anything between the tripod and 7' in front of the camera.  The interesting point of all this is if you are taking a panorama in a restaurant,  many of the near by tables will be missing from your images.... So be sure to consider this visual void when selecting lenses for your camera.
